Allahabad has a special home for children in need, and it’s Children National Institute (CNI).
Being a non-government organization, CNI houses orphans and destitute children, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
Started during partition to take care of children separated from their parents, it has grown as a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.
“We endeavour to ensure healthy, emotional, mental and physical development of children and maintain an ideal home for them, says CNI Secretary Col (retd.) Rajkumar Kak.
The children at CNI live in a family like atmosphere with a caring lady superintendent ably assisted by support staff.
CNI, from its inception, has been managed and run by distinguished personalities like Justice P.N. Sapru, Ms Shyam Kumari Khan, Ms Rahima Sharif, Dr. Vatsala Samant, Dr. Kamal Sthalekar, Ms Shobha Sapru and Ms Rashida Khan.
On special occasions and festivals, people from different walks of life celebrate the moments with the CNI children.
How about extending a helping hand to these children, by donating to ensure a secured future for them? Your donations will go a long way in looking after their needs and requirements.
According to Col. Kak, the children at CNI, besides going to school everyday, regularly participate in creative activities and are also taught art and craft.
You too can spend some time at CNI and interact with the children on holidays or on your birthdays sharing some precious time with the innocent children.
They would love to hear your success stories as you participate in some child care service and make your community proud.
CNI is situated at 3, Motilal Nehru Marg, Swaraj Bhawan, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India – 211002. You can contact CNI on +91-0532-2467098 or write to the children home at cningo@outlook.com
